Morning Glory Mixed Ipomoea Purpurea is an annual deciduous vine native to Mexico and Central America. Common Morning Glory seeds can be started indoors or outdoors, and Ipomoea Purpurea is a lovely, old-fashioned vining plant with alternating heart-shaped leaves and large, trumpet-shaped, purple flowers that may show streaks of white and pink. Morning Glory flowers open in the morning and only last a few hours, and hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies like to visit the showy flowers.

Morning Glory Mixed grows ten feet in height by twining around fences, arbors, and other structures, but this annual vine is also a popular choice for containers and hanging baskets. It is recommended to soak Ipomoea Purpurea seeds in warm water for at least 12 hours prior sowing, and Common Morning Glory grows best in full sun tolerating some shade and enjoying fertile, moist, but well drained soil. Ipomoea Purpurea re-seeds itself freely.
