Agastache Apricot Sprite Agastache Aurantiaca is an aromatic flowering herbaceous perennial plant that is native to the south-western United States and Mexico. Agastache Apricot Sprite seeds have to be covered with soil but very thinly. Also commonly called Mexican Hyssop and Hummingbird Mint, this variety of Agastache Aurantiaca is a short but erect plant with foliage and flowers that emit an intense mint scent. Hummingbird Mint blooms with compact spikes of tubular apricot-orange flowers for several months from summer to fall, and numerous pollinators including hummingbirds, butterflies and bees are attracted to its fragrant flowers.
Agastache Apricot Sprite is an outstanding, low-care perennial that is planted in containers, borders, rock gardens, open meadows, cottage, herb, and butterfly gardens. Agastache Aurantiaca seeds germinate in 2-3 weeks, and once established Hummingbird Mint tolerates average and poor soil and requires only occasional watering. Outside of its hardiness zones, Mexican Hyssop can be grown as an annual.
