Korean Mint Agastache Rugosa is a lovely, flowering perennial herb. Also commonly called Blue Licorice, Purple Giant Hyssop, Indian Mint, Wrinkled Giant Hyssop, Huo Xiang, Chinese Patchouli, and Korean Hyssop, Agastache Rugosa seeds can be started outdoors in spring after last frost or indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Korean Mint blooms with wonderfully fragrant, tall flower spikes of hundreds blue to purple tiny flowers in summer and fall, and licorice-like scent attracts masses of bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies.

Korean Mint is widely grown in herb and wildflower gardens for its striking appearance and superb fragrance. Purple Giant Hyssop makes a great container and large pot flowering plant and must have in a butterfly garden. Agastache Rugosa has a long flowering season tolerating heat, drought and resisting various common plant diseases. Blue Licorice is very nice flower for cutting and adding to fresh flower arrangements.
