Agrostemma Rose Agrostemma Githago Milas is an annual herb that belongs to the Pink family. Commonly called Corn Cockle, this Agrostemma can be easily started from flower seeds indoors or directly outdoors. Rose Agrostemma has tall, slender stems with lanceolate, pale green leaves and produces satiny, cerise-pink, five-petaled, trumpet-shaped flowers that are decorated with rows of dotted lines.

Corn Cockle begins to bloom in spring, and rose-pink blooms appear until mid-summer attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Agrostemma Milas is a cottage garden favorite that is often planted with other similar annuals for the best display. Agrostemma Githago is best grown in full sun or light shade and moist, but well-drained soil, and Corn Cockle makes an excellent, long-lasting cut flower.
