Aruncus White Aruncus Dioicus is a herbaceous, perennial plant that is native to mountainous, damp woodland. White Aruncus can be started from seeds, and the established plant has very ornamental, fern-like foliage. This tall, bushy, clump-forming plant is also called Goat's Beard and Bride's Feathers for its unique blooms that appear as feathery, plume-like spikes of small, creamy-white flowers. Aruncus has a long bloom period that lasts for weeks from late spring or early summer.

White Aruncus likes to grow in shady environment, and it makes this Aruncus a terrific background plant for shady, moist parts of the borders, woodland gardens and naturalized areas. Aruncus Dioicus grows best in moist, rich soil and partial shade, but if consistent moisture is provided, Goat's Beard tolerates full sun.
