Bellflower Tussock Blue Campanula Carpatica is a perennial with a compact growth habit. Also called Carpathian Bellflower and Carpathian Harebell, this plant can be grown from bellflower seeds, and once established Campanula Carpatica features dense, dark-green foliage with leaves that are small, tough, pointed, with saw-tooth edges, having the shape of feathers, hence the secondary common name of this bellflower is Tussock, which means feathery or tufted. Blue Tussock Bellflower is densely covered by the compact mounds of blue or violet flowers that appear from June to August or first frost providing intense blue color and attracting hummingbirds and butterflies.

Bellflower Tussock Blue is excellent as a ground cover and this Campanula is the outstanding plant to grow in containers or window boxes. Campanula Carpatica seeds can be started indoors or outdoors, and Carpathian Bellflower is a very long blooming plant that looks fabulous in rock gardens and in the front of the border. Bellflower Tussock likes to grow in full sun or light shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil.
