Burning Bush Dictamnus Fraxinella is a herbaceous, perennial flowering plant native to Germany. Burning Bush seeds can be started indoors or directly outdoors, and also known as Gas Plant, the Burning Bush features bushy foliage with glossy, dark-green leaves and produces lemon-scented, carmine-rose flowers. Burning Bush starts to bloom in spring or summer and fragrant blooms appear for about two weeks, but attractive, star-shaped seed heads are followed after flowers. The blooming Gas Plant attracts bees, butterflies, and birds.

Burning Bush is a great perennial accent plant for low maintenance garden. The bushy, tall, shrub-like Burning Bush is an ideal choice for perennial beds and borders. Dictamnus Fraxinella seeds cannot be covered, because they need light to germinate, and the  Gas Plant flower grows best in full sun tolerating drought and some light shade. Dictamnus Fraxinella has been used in Chinese herbal medicine for centuries, and its dried leaves are used to make a lemon scented, herbal tea.
