Butterfly Weed White Asclepias Incarnata is a white flowering variety of Swamp Milkweed. Butterfly Weed seeds have to be kept moist until germination, and growing White Milkweed produces magnificent, flat clusters of small, fragrant pure-white flowers on a top of clumping strong stems. Asclepias Incarnata has a long-lasting bloom period that lasts throughout summer and into fall. The blooming Butterfly Weed bears nectar and pollen rich flowers that are highly attractive to different types of butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.

Butterfly Weed White is a natural choice for butterfly gardens. Swamp Milkweed looks exceptionally well in sunny borders and along stream or pond banks. Asclepias Incarnata seeds can be started indoors, and Butterfly Weed is the best grown in full sun and medium to wet soils, but the plant is surprisingly tolerant of average well-drained soils in a common garden environment.
