Catchfly Alpine Lychnis Alpina is a perennial plant native to Arctic areas of North America. Lychnis Alpina seeds can be started directly outdoors in spring or fall, and also commonly called Arctic Campion or Alpine Campion, the plant forms a low, tufted mound of narrow, grassy leaves, blooming with very attractive clusters of tiny deep-pink flowers that attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

Alpine Catchfly is a rugged, short-lived perennial plant that is perfect for rock and alpine gardens,or growing in containers, rock walls and along edges. Alpine Catchfly seeds are small, so the surface sowing is suggested. The established Lychnis tolerates poor soil and drought preferring to grow in full sun and reseeding itself if conditions allow.
