Cigar Plant Mix Cuphea Ignea Coan is a tender perennial that can be grown as an annual. Cigar Plant seeds can be started indoors in winter or spring, and also known as Mexican Cigar Plant, Firecracker Plant, and Cigarette Plant, this unique-looking flowering plant has bushy dark green, glossy foliage that is evergreen in frost free zones. Cigar Plant Mix blooms continuously from spring until frost, and this bushy compact variety is covered with masses of red, white, rose, and pink flowers that are shaped like tiny tubular cigars. The blooming Cigarette Plant is highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.

Cigar Plant Mix is popular as an accent plant in container gardens, and this flower looks wonderful in mixed perennial borders. In areas where the growing season is long Cuphea Ignea Coan seeds can be started outdoors, and this perennial flower grows best in full sun or partial shade, and moist, well-drained soil is preferable; however, the Cigar Plant can endure short dry periods tolerating drought and heat.
