Cosmos Daydream Cosmos Bipinnatus is a half-hardy garden annual native to Mexico. It is a good idea to start Cosmos Daydream seeds indoors, so the seedling can be transplanted to a garden for the early establishment. Also called Mexican Aster, Daydream Cosmos produces large, bi-colored, daisy-like flowers with yellow center and deep-pink petals that are edged with pale pink. Cosmos plant has very attractive lacy foliage, and its showy flowers appear from summer until first frost attracting bees and butterflies.

Cosmos Daydream is one of the best annual wildflowers for mass planting and naturalized landscapes, and Cosmos also looks terrific growing in containers, flower beds, borders, cottage and informal gardens.
