Leptosiphon French Hybrids Mix Leptosiphon Hybrida is an annual flowering plant native to California. The best time for sowing Leptosiphon French Hybrids seeds is spring after last frost, but these seeds can be sown September to October for spring/summer flowering next year. Also commonly called False Baby Stars, this popular garden plant is known by two botanical names Linanthus Androsaceus and Leptosiphon Androsaceus. Leptosiphon French Hybrids is a compact growing, low to the ground flowering plant with ferny foliage and masses of small, star-shaped, bright, multicolored flowers that come in shades of rose, yellow, orange and cream. False Baby Stars blooms all season long creating a stunning colorful carpet in a garden.

Leptosiphon French Hybrids Mix is often grown as a ground cover, and other uses include edging the front of the flower bed, container planting, edging a pathway, and planting in rock gardens. Leptosiphon Hybrida seeds have to be sown on surface and covered just slightly with soil no more than 1/8 inch deep. Once established, False Baby Stars flower performs best in full sun and rich, well-drained soil.
