Sedum Stonecrop Pink Beacon Hylotelephium Ussuriense is a succulent perennial plant native to the southeastern part of Russia and Korea. Sedum Stonecrop Pink Beacon can be started from seeds indoors or directly outdoors. Formerly known as Sedum Ussuriense and commonly called Ussuri River Stonecrop, Tall Stonecrop, and Tall Border Sedum, this Sedum features dark-green to bronze fleshy foliage with succulent, rounded leaves. Blooming in summer with the showy flat umbrellas of tiny, star-shaped, carmine-red flowers, Pink Beacon Stonecrop is a magnet to bees and butterflies seeking nectar.

Sedum Stonecrop Pink Beacon is commonly planted at the front of the border and as an ornamental foliage plant in rock gardens, containers, pots, and cottage and informal gardens. Hylotelephium Ussuriense seeds need light to germinate so they have to be just slightly pressed into the soil and not covered. Tall Border Sedum is tolerant of heat and drought and is cold-hardy, and this plant performs best in full sun and sandy or rocky well-draining soil; however partial shade is tolerated.
