Tomato Large Red Cherry Lycopersicon Esculentum is a heirloom tomato variety that has been grown for more than 100 years. Organic Tomato Large Red seeds germinate fast, and this selection is the easiest of all the tomatoes to grow. To obtain early harvests the seeds should be sown thinly in February or March in a greenhouse or in a warm, well-lit place. When the plants have 2-3 true leaves, transplant to peat pots or other plant containers and grow at 65°F. As soon as all danger of frost is past, plants can be set out in open ground spacing 3 inch each way.
Tomato Large Red Cherry features dark green foliage and bears clusters of 1 - 1 1/2 inch in diameter, full of flavor, deep-red fruits on hardy vines. This tomato is one of the favorites for fresh eating and salads, but it is also used widely for pickles and preserves.
