Asparagus Foxtail Fern Asparagus Densiflorus Meyeri is an evergreen, branching perennial that belongs to the Lily family. Foxtail Fern Asparagus can be grown from seeds, and this ornamental plant has fine, needle-like, bright-green foliage and produces small, fragrant white flowers that attract honey bees. Asparagus blooms for several weeks in summer in fall, and the flowers are followed by red berries during the fall season. Despite its name, this plant is not a fern, and it is not edible.
