Bishop's Flower Ammi Majus is a tall, branching annual flower. Bishop's Flower seeds are easy to grow and they can be planted directly outdoors in spring. The growing Ammi Majus resembles Queen Anne's Lace in appearance and produces extra large, rounded, snow white flower heads that are made up of small florets. Bishop's Flower blooms all season long from spring until fall, and its showy flowers attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

Bishop's Flower is a popular garden flower, and this easy to grow annual is also widely planted in meadows or wildlife gardens. Bishop's Flower is often grown as a bordering plant because its mounds of white flowers create a delicate airiness. Ammi Majus seeds have to be raked slightly into the soil but not more than 1/4 of inch. Also called Bishop's Weed or White Dill, this plant grows best in full sun or partial shade adapting to most soil types, but moist, well drained soil is preferable. Bishop's Flower is excellent as a fresh or dried cut flower for any floral arrangement.
