Sedum Cliff Stonecrop Sedum Glaucophyllum is an evergreen, succulent flowering perennial native to the Appalachian Mountains. Sedum Cliff Stonecrop seeds can be started indoors in winter, so the seedling can be transplanted after last frost directly to a garden. Also commonly called Silver Frost and Appalachian Stonecrop this low to the ground succulent ground cover forms non-spreading clumps of small, blue-green leaves and blooms with showy clusters of small, white flowers in spring and summer attracting various pollinators including bees and butterflies.

Sedum Cliff Stonecrop is an excellent ground cover plant for different garden applications. Appalachian Stonecrop is an outstanding flower for growing along flower bed borders, in alpine and rock gardens, containers, tubs, and over rock walls. Sedum Glaucophyllum seeds can be mixed with fine sands for even distribution. Cliff Stonecrop prefers to grow in light shade tolerating drought and poor, dry soil.
