Sedum Gold Moss Stonecrop Sedum Acre is a low-growing perennial ground cover plant native to Europe, and it has been naturalized in North America. Sedum Gold Moss Stonecrop seeds can be started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost or directly outdoors in spring or fall. Also known as Gold Moss Sedum and Golden Carpet Stonecrop, this compact perennial plant features evergreen foliage with succulent, simple, smooth-margined leaves and forms a brilliant, intense golden-yellow carpet that makes an excellent creeping ground cover. The bright yellow Golden Carpet Stonecrop flowers appear in sprays held above the foliage from spring to summer attracting bees and butterflies.

Sedum Gold Moss Stonecrop looks lovely as a trailing accent in hanging baskets and container gardens, and Sedum Acre is an excellent for planting in rock gardens, between stepping stones, and as a ground cover. Gold Moss Sedum is so small that it can be induced to grow in the narrowest cracks between bricks or stones. Sedum Acre seeds have to be just pressed lightly into the soil and not covered, and like the majority of evergreen sedums, Gold Moss Stonecrop prefers a lot of sunlight, very little water, and rocky soil tolerating drought, partial shade and poor soil.
