Sedum Yellow Stonecrop Sedum Ellacombianum is a semi-evergreen, compact growing, succulent, perennial plant native to Northern China and the Pacific Coast of Russia. Sedum Ellacombianum seeds germinate in 2-4 weeks, and if the seeds started indoors in winter, the seedling can be transferred outdoors after last frost. Also called Orange Stonecrop, Sedum Ellacombianum is a low to the ground, compact growing groundcover with thick, fleshy, succulent, dark-green leaves and masses of small, star-shaped yellow flowers that appear in summer attracting butterflies and bees.

Sedum Yellow Stonecrop is one of the best ground covers available for growing in hot, dry rocky sites or just anywhere in a landscape. Sedum Ellacombianum seeds are easy to germinate, and Yellow stonecrop looks fabulous growing in rock and alpine gardens, containers, tubs, and crevices on walls. Sedum Yellow Stonecrop prefers full sun, but the plant tolerates partial shade, and sandy, rocky, dry, well drained, average to poor soils are the best for this Sedum.
