Sedum Summer Glory Stonecrop Sedum Spurium is a low-spreading, succulent perennial plant native to Turkey and Iran. Sedum Summer Glory seeds have to be pressed slightly into the soil, and the seeds cannot be covered, because they need light to germinate. Also commonly known as Two Row Stonecrop and Autumn Stonecrop, this Sedum variety grows and spreads quickly forming thick carpet of attractive, evergreen in mild climates, broad, toothed, dark-green leaves that develop red edges in fall. Sedum Summer Glory blooms from mid summer to early fall, and the clusters of bright, carmine, dark-pink Sedum Spurium flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.

Sedum Summer Glory Stonecrop makes a wonderful, low-maintenance, perennial ground cover for dry, sunny areas with low fertility soil. Summer Glory Sedum Spurium seeds have to me kept moist until germination, and the extremely drought tolerant Summer Glory Stonecrop is almost carefree succulent plant that is widely planted in rock and alpine gardens, borders, containers, and along walkways.
